Toxicology, Chemical Industry, Cosmetics and REACH
Known as the REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006 which came into effect on 1/06/09. The REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) created a database in charge of managing the records of the substances to be registered by manufacturers, intermediate users and importers of chemicals in the EC. The danger of chemical susbstances be evaluated based on the quantities imported, generated and its characteristics.
The studies necessary for the registration include physicochemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological properties to understand and evaluate the hazards of chemicals and chemical compounds.
